Integrative Medicine Elective for Medical Students

Offered as a one-month elective for fourth year medical students, the elective will focus on the areas of Integrative Medicine in which the learner wishes to explore. Required and elective readings as well as learning about the current evidence-basis and research in the field will be included. Much of the elective is designed to allow participants to work with local clinicians from various integrative medicine disciplines/areas such as Ayurveda, TCM/Acupuncture, Mind-Body, Naturopathic, Osteopathic, Nutrition & others. Additionally, a six -week, 4-credit, course in Ayurveda (the whole medical system) is offered to first and second year students by Dr. Amala Guha.
