Osher Center for Integrative Medicine- Northwestern University (OCIM-NU) Integrative Medicine Consultant

Osher Center for Integrative Medicine is seeking an exceptional integrative physician to join our program- one of the first academic clinical integrative centers in the country, established in 1997, and the official integrative program of Northwestern Medicine. We are part of the Osher Collaborative for Integrative Medicine, allowing opportunities for close connection with leaders internationally. Our thriving clinic is located on the beautiful downtown Chicago Northwestern campus, and providers are faculty at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.

Purpose

To provide integrative consult services, collaborate with the OCIM team, and support OCIM efforts to provide innovative healthcare education, clinical care and research programs. Each member of our team is critical to furthering our culture of compassionate service-oriented care for our patients, each other and ourselves.

Job Qualifications:

  • Medical Degree (MD or DO); Family Practice or Internal Medicine residency training required
  • Current Board Certification
  • Personally exemplify healthy lifestyle practices
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Advanced training in Integrative Medicine
  • Competency in bioidentical hormone therapy and functional medicine

Job Essentials:

Clinical Practice
  • Conduct a full-time integrative consult practice
  • Communicate in a professional manner with referring physicians
  • Establish mutually respectful and engaged relationships with the interprofessional team including integrative and complementary medicine providers and support staff
  • Refer as appropriate to OCIM providers and Northwestern specialists
Outreach and Education
  • Participate in teaching for students, residents and fellows
  • Conduct community lectures on health optimization, prevention, and wellness topics
  • Support clinical research initiatives and implement research findings into clinical practice
  • Promote integrative medicine in the context of existing and planned programs
